Summer Fun

We had the best summer ever!  It was so full of fun things but also plenty of down time.  We enjoyed being with friends and swimming as much as possible.  Hands down, summer is the best part of Daddy (and eventually Mommy again) being teachers.
Colby loves to have someone jump with him!

Once we began speech, the pathologist recommended that we double check C's hearing.  As you can tell it was surprisingly painless and we affirmed that C's hearing is perfect!
We spent as much time as the pool as possible!

Daddy brought home a monkey costume... which C wore for days.

 Ice cream date with Mommy.
After church Chili's... loves his Daddy.
Big boy headed into Daddy's new school to check things out!
We had lots of playdates with these sweet girls...

 We went to the circus!
 And the science museum!

And of course lots of time with this cute cousin :)

Fun Fest (VBS) 2014

Colby was able to attend VBS for the first time!  Our church has VBS at night and we call it Fun Fest.  Colby (and Mommy) were exhausted but we had a great time! Our theme this year was Agency D3 (discover, decide, defend).  We learned to always be ready to tell everybody what we know about Jesus.
 Love this affectionate boy!
Colby and I were in different groups but we got to see each other at the dinner rotation.
 Singing with Ms. Stephanie
 Way past bed time!

Second Annual Maas/Turner Beach Trip

We had an awesome long weekend on the beach again this summer!  This kids enjoyed the beach way more than last year and we stayed at a place with a great pool.  We had a great time playing, not napping, eating, and swimming together.  Can't wait for next year!

 Love trips with this guy!

Colorado Part 4: Random Fun

Exploring the main street by the river

Trip to the highest altitude point
 Finally spotted an elk!
Yummy dinner on a rainy night at the Dunraven Inn.  This was recommended by our friend Natalie Timmerman and it did not disappoint.  Fun trivia is that there are dollar bills signed by patrons covering the walls!  Someone has estimated there is $15,000 on the walls.
Hide and seek at the condo.
 Chasing a chipmunk
Ice cream!

Colorado Part 3: Let's Rodeo

We happened to be in Estes Park during their annual Round Top Rodeo.  Way better than the commercialized Houston one!
