Houston Rodeo

Colby and I had a great time at the rodeo again this year with Shannon and Trystan.  Somehow we are able to keep picking days of beautiful weather to spend there.

They've grown up just a little from last year...

First X-rays

Over spring break we had a great visit with our cousins!  There was rainbow looming...

and selfies...

and trampoline jumping...

which led to our first x-rays :( During all of the fun jumping, Colby got a double bounce and just started screaming.  I brought him inside and after he was able to stop crying he just sat.  And no matter what he refused to walk.  We realized after a little while that we needed to get into the doctor.  Because he wasn't able to tell us anything and wouldn't walk at all, she sent us to the hospital for x-rays.

By this time he was actually super happy as long as someone carried him.

Rick and I were so nervous that the x-rays would freak him out but as you can see somebody was a little bit of a flirt with the technicians helping him.

We were so happy to get the results that nothing was broken.  The next day he started crawling which was progress but actually really sad to watch. Then the following day he started walking with a big limp.  Finally on the third day he was as good as new.  Because this happened on our trampoline I had a lot of mommy guilt when we took Colby in to Dr. E.  I asked her if we were bad parents because we had a trampoline.  She said that only fun parents have trampolines.  He's back to jumping on it every evening and loving it!

Portraits

I don't know if I'll ever convince Rick to do photography professionally, but we love having such beautiful pictures of Colby and our nieces!
