Thanksgiving

Colby's 3rd Birthday

 We started off the birthday celebrations at school.  I got to read a book to the class and they sang to him with this special cake.

 Then we celebrated at home with family.  We had breakfast for dinner and took a ride on his new bike!

First Day of School

This year Colby went to MDO two days each week.  For some reason it always makes me sentimental to make an "all about me" book.  This boy was ready and had a great first day!

Big Boy Bed

For the past 6 month or so Colby has become less and less of a napper.  Generally he only naps about every other day.  We have been so lucky though because when he doesn't sleep he would be happy to hang out and play in his crib.  But a couple of weeks ago he did exactly what we dreaded.... climbed right out.  I'm honestly surprised that it has taken this long.  But it was obviously time for a big boy bed.  The transition has gone pretty smoothly!  There has been less napping but nights are going really well!

 And sometimes this happens...

Summer Fun

 We had the best summer ever!  It was so full of fun things but also plenty of down time.  We enjoyed being with friends and swimming as much as possible.  Hands down, summer is the best part of Daddy (and eventually Mommy again) being teachers.

 Once we began speech, the pathologist recommended that we double check C's hearing.  As you can tell it was surprisingly painless and we affirmed that C's hearing is perfect!

 We spent as much time as the pool as possible!

 Daddy brought home a monkey costume... which C wore for days.

Fun Fest (VBS) 2014

Colby was able to attend VBS for the first time!  Our church has VBS at night and we call it Fun Fest.  Colby (and Mommy) were exhausted but we had a great time! Our theme this year was Agency D3 (discover, decide, defend).  We learned to always be ready to tell everybody what we know about Jesus.
